Running off lead is great. We have an average size fenced in yard and unfortunately not too many places in our town where they could go off leash. Limiting treats is key and so far Miley has adjusted quite well.Thanks for stopping by!

We take Lucy on long walks, and all our streets are up hill or down. I think her most important weight control exercise is finding safe places where she can run off lead. We do that several times a week in addition to her walks. Finally, we limit treats to veggies or Charlie Bears (very small).

Congratulations on losing a pound, great job! I like that you shared all those helpful tools from Hill's Science Diet. My 2 dogs stay active by going on long walks and hikes, and my Husky and I bike ride together. Keep up the good work, you'll be at your Perfect Weight in no time!

Good point about making sure you use a measuring cup!
We stay busy by taking Mom and Dad on tons and tons of walks! And we are Mom's birding buddies, too, so we get to go hiking all over the place with her, as she searches for cool birdies to photograph. Mom also does a lot of one on one playtime with me - playing Fetch or Siberian Rules Fetch (she throws the toy, I run in the general direction, then run and do crazy zoomies wherever I want to - then she has to come get the toy). That's all great fun! Both Cam and I are at perfect weight or just a tad under, according to our vet; that seems to make everyone really happy.

Way to go Miley! Your vet is really smart to suggest you start using a measuring cup. So many people don't realize just how much food they are feeding their dogs and cats. Even healthy food can be a problem if you are getting double what you should be.
Must say you found yourself a very interesting Pillow. As for exercise we recommend squirrel and bird watching and chasing birds out of your yard.
